• November 1996 - Releases album "Razorblade Suitcase" which preceded the hit "Swallowed" and went up to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard chart in its first week of release and remained a strong seller during a season which saw new albums by R.E.M., Pearl Jam, and even the Beatles spiraling down in a hurry.
• Engaged to singer/actress girlfriend, Gwen Stefani (lead singer of No Doubt). [2001]
• He is half Scottish.
• After leaving Trauma records Rossdale's band Bush signed with Atlantic Records in hope of gaining the publicity, money and respect that they deserved. The result was the album "Golden State". The album flew with critics who praised the album as Bush's strongest outing yet. The album however was not publicized well by Atlantic and despite a sold out tour the album did not sell well. Bush has been inactive since 2001.
• Has a daughter named Daisy Lowe (b. 1989) from a brief fling with fashion designer Pearl Lowe. Gavin remained good friends with Daisy's mom and is even the girl's godfather, but did not know he was her biological father until recently, when the girl's mother told him he might be. He took a DNA test in October 2004 which revealed he was in fact her father.
• Brother-in-law of Eric Stefani and Todd Stefani.
• Has a Puli sheepdog named Winston who is featured on the cover of Bush's debut album.
• Gavin and his wife, Gwen Stefani, became the parents of a boy, Kingston James McGregor Rossdale, on May 26, 2006 in Los Angeles.
